Under the Baobab Tree

Former war correspondent and recent widower, Sean Murphy, has been sent on a Mexican Riviera cruise aboard the Diamond Princess by his sister Bethany, He befriends a pair of sisters, Kelly and Myra, a of couple of British publishers, Richard and Nigel, and a mother-daughter mystery writing team, Harriet and Robin Winslow. He nicknames them the scooby gang and they are thrust into the mystery of the sisters about whom Sean has mixed feelings, especially since Kelly could be his late wife’s twin.
When the beautiful Kelly goes missing in Mazatlan, Myra is viewed with suspicion by the local police. But as Sean learns during an art auction which featured a beautiful rendering of the rather plain Baobab tree, appearances are not what they seemed. His search for the truth takes him to Mexico’s less touristy areas, back to California, to Texas and finally to Chicago where he uncovers a twenty-five-year old mystery.
